Dear Friend,

When Fannie Lou Hammer, a delegate from Mississippi, was not seated in the 60’s by the Democrats at their convention she said, “I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.” So am I, as I suspect many of you are, for politics as usual is not in the best interest of this nation’s health. I believe it’s time to “Get A Doctor In The House” with the healing hands which will help bind our wounds as well as treat some of the dis-ease of society.

Welcome to “The Fisher Rx” – my prescription that is “Good for What Ails Us.” I am Ada M. Fisher, MD, the NC 12th US Congressional District Republican candidate. If we are to win this race and apply the proper medicines we must realistically face up to our problems, have your vote and your financial backing as well as other support.

Each week "The Fisher Rx" will suggest creative, compassionate, conservative medicines reflective of constitutional principles keeping in mind who is paying the bills. My unwavering commitment to immigration reform, national defense enhancements which protect us and those on the battlefield, accessible and affordable health care as well as jobs with a future are just a few of the issues I continue to lead in the cause of “We the people . . .”

Sincerely,

Dr. Ada M. Fisher

Press Release - "Watt Continues 12th District Neglect"
 Release Date: June 8, 2006

The recent television revelation of Congressman Watt’s 52 trips which have little to do with his district confirms some of the concern Dr. Ada M. Fisher, the Republican candidate for the NC 12th US Congressional District, has had about his tenure in the House of Representatives. In his November 2005 Rowan County NAACP fund-raising banquet address, Watt acknowledged without apology that “Dr. Fisher was right when she told you that as Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) I would have less time for the affairs of the district.”
