Salisbury, NC - I am pleased to announce that Dr. Ada Fisher will seek the Republican nomination for North Carolina's 12th Congressional District. The seat is currently held by Representative Mel Watt, Democrat. Dr. Fisher is a strong proponent of immigration reform and establishing English as our national language. Being a licensed medical doctor herself, Dr. Fisher understands we are in a health crisis in this country. She has been consistent in advocating for both affordable and accessible healthcare for Americans. She believes we must have an economic environment that will encourage expansion of our job base. With many traditional jobs in our area being lost to cheap foreign competition, we must encourage new and innovative opportunities to not only replace but also expand the existing job market in the 12th District. This includes supporting our small business community, which account for 80% of all jobs. Dr. Fisher believes we must shore-up homeland defense protections, ever vigilant to the threat of another terrorist attack on American soil. Her slogan is "Get a Doctor in the House" to which she adds "Attuned to the Heart Beats of America". Dr. Ada Fisher has always been a fighter for "We the people" and will work diligently to return representation to the people of the 12th Congressional District.
